This spike-fork immature bull Moose was taken in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. This young bull was shot broadside at a distance of 100 yards with a .270WSM utilising Federal Premium Vital Shok with 140gr Nosler Accubond bullets (MV 3200fps).
The animal was struck just on the scapula of the left shoulder, it walked approximately 5 yards and then dropped.

Entrance and exit points as seen from inside chest cavity. Unfortunately no photos of internal damage were taken but the lung damage was apparently quite vivid with holes through both lungs of approximately 2" in diameter.
