.270 cal - Rem Accutip
Here we have pictures that show the result of a Australian Fallow deer that has been hit with a .270 cal rifle using 150gr Rem Accutip factory ammunition. The animal was shot at a range of 150 yards.
The entry hole on the animal can be just made out if you look low on the rib cage just behind the shoulder. The deer was quartering away from the hunter.
A solid heart shot.
Caused considerable damage to lungs. This animal did manage to run for 40 meters before coming to rest.
Large exit wound with considerable bruising.
