Ben LawHas anyone used the boyds at one or pro varmint stocks, what were your opinions of them?On a side note, they have a rapid fire sale on now with a lot of good priced stocks. I scrolled through 36 pages, on the 2nd last page i found a the one and only stock i was looking for, for $75us. Which is great because its under the $100 international shipping limit. So if your looking for a boyd stock from outside the u.s. now might be a chance. |

Ben LawRe: Boyds stockshere's the tikka in the boyds pro varmint, barrel channel opened up for the varmint barrel.weighing in at 4.66kg/10.3lb as seen. the stock weight is 1362g/3lb, only just over 100g more than the factory plastic tikka varmint stock with stabilizing compound. it follows much of the same lines as the boyds classic, drop at comb is the same, the drop at heel is around 10mm extra although the drop at toe is the same and the pitch is the same at 90 degrees to the bore. i will pillar bed it and decide how i go about adding some grip. |
