Bullet hit rib on both sides. Exit wound low on chest was about 1 in. diameter. Deer took two steps and dropped. Deer remained standing on bullet hit, surprisingly. |

Rex WahlRe: 257 Roberts CNC Copper BulletI've been shooting muzzleloaders (ML) for deer and elk the last 30+ years. 2016 lucked into a rifle hunt, like the old days.... Many years of training for ML and I still concentrate on getting close. 2 weeks after this hunt, bagged a cow elk with inline muzzleloader in same location. Snow in AM, all morning stalk, 10 bedded elk at 100 yds. range. Shot one cow that stood for a few moments. 2 great hunts. |
