louis georgesNathon on the subject of neck thickness. I like to turn my necks so that they clean up about 3/4 around. with that said, using redding neck bushing die that won't size all the way to the shoulder, would I be better of turning the necks when they are .308 before sizing. Once again Thanks for all your help |

louis georgesRe: Neck turning brass for the Practical. The one thing I forgot, was if I sized the case neck and fired it, I am guessing that the case would fill the chamber and the case and neck will be chamber size. But the neck will be larger then my neck turning mandrel. It looks like I will have to buy custom full length size die. Or turn the necks before sizing (308 Dia) What do you think? |

Nathan FosterRe: Neck turning brass for the Practical.Quite true, you will need to either neck turn now or obtain new dies. We will have the lee dies available as soon as Lee are done making them. Will be available on this site or via Manson reamers. |

John MitchellRe: Neck turning brass for the Practical.I've turned for clean up after firing.have lost neck tension after 5 or 6 neck sizing. 308 bushing in Redding dies has regained neck tension. Nearing end of my first barrel. ! |
