Francis SaundersSo Ive finally gotten around to bedding my rifle with Nathans fine stuff!Just thought that Id add a couple of notes on how it went. Really well! The hard part is the first cuts and then waiting the 48 hours to bust it out. (Actually finding a fence batten was quite hard in this neck of the woods) I did a notice a couple of things that I used that worked really well. 1. I used a peace of foam 15mm lagging (insulation) that is used on water pipes. It slid over the barrel and fitted like a glove. It gave really great protection to the crown and barrel and saved a lot of time in taping up to protect it. What I liked most about this little bit of lagging was that you can reuse it on most barrels. If its got a fore site then you can just cut a slit in it to accommodate this. 2. So who has seen Nathans great video of him using the film canister to get the tape profile of the barrel. Now how many of you have been looking high and low for a similar object becasue you cant for the life of you find any film canisters in this day and age. Stop looking the realise agent bottle our even the hardener bottle that Nathan supply's with his bedding kit dose the job just fine. Keep them blades down though ah cause you don't want to hole them bottles. 3. After you have finished cutting your relief into the stock and are reapplying the tape to the top edge fill the the mag wells and trigger holes first. I found that as you push down with the foam and plasticine that this pressure pulled the tap away from that top line. Had to do this twice which was a pain. So if you do the top line of tape last then you wont run into this problem. Hope this helps. Now wheres a batten lets see if this has worked. Wish me luck hahahaha. |

Nathan FosterRe: Fresh EyesGood stuff Francis. Steph and I are still trying to reboot our international shipping. Its looking like we may be able to do it but it may be in larger quantities. I was expecting that we would have to use surface shipping but the broker we finally found wants to look back into air freight. Its just a waiting game now, quotes etc. |

Francis SaundersRe: Fresh EyesYear I laughed when I saw that, think now where the fen bell am I going to find one of those? The lagging is quite a sweet little utility peace. I'll probably use it for maintance uses when I take the action barrel off. Heard the shipping was a pain. Guns come up lovley by the! Thanks Nathan! Guys so long as you take your time and just go through the steeps its pritty straight forward. The clean up is coming along just need to remember to go back to those photos I took at the start. |

This great news Nathan. Let us know when you get this worked out. I got a coupke of plastic fantastic stocks that need bedding/stabilizing. I could be in for at least 2 +2 kits for this winter. |
