Ricardo LaborinThe ONE gun shop in the whole of Mexico has one in .30-06 and another in 7mmRM. Any of you have experience with this specific rig?? From the 23.7in barrel and the availability of .30 reloading supplies, it seems the SPRG is the sound choice....Please chime in. Saludos. |

Thomas KitchenRe: Tikka T3x Varmint Stainless - Any Experience?Hi Ricardoi just came back from hunting goats with a friend of mine. i was using a 270 tikka t3 lite with the added on t3x forend with 2-10x32 stac my friend using a t3x superlite in 7 rem mag with 3-15 leupold and added on forend and grip panel. it's very hard not to like tikka's as a hunting rifle tikka t3's just work they are very hassle free most of the time, its just the recoil that can get you. the varmint models being bit nicer to shoot. i agree 30.06 would be good option. Nathan also has a great video series on the tikka's if you run into issues |

mark sucklingRe: Tikka T3x Varmint Stainless - Any Experience?I got the T3 varmint in 708, rechambered it to .284.Love it, super accurate, comfortable to carry (I take it tahr hunting), great trigger once you back it off a bit. Interesting they are fully free floated barrels on the varmint, no pressure point bedding. Buy it, you won't regret it! |

mark sucklingRe: Tikka T3x Varmint Stainless - Any Experience?Btw, I agree the add on fore grip and cheek riser to the normal stock are a bit lame,But I find it feels good to shoulder, great fore end grip and eye lines up easily with scope. If you really don't like it there are plenty of aftermarket options. |
