RossAn online store has these on special at a price that is attractive. The maker's URL is https://www.los.si/en/solid-brass-bullets/ I've not played with monolithic projectiles before so would like to try. There is very little information available online that I can find anyway. A single review of their 224 cal 52gr HP was not positive. Another suggested that brass was too hard and had ruined their rifle barrel. The closest equivalent I can think of are Barnes TSX. So throwing it out there - has anyone tried LOS solid brass projectiles? I'd like to hear about 224 calibre and 7mm experiences. Regards R |

Nathan FosterRe: LOS Solid Brass BulletsHi Ross, I have used brass but not this brand. Be cautious with these, brass is even less malleable than copper. Velocity will be a key factor, not just for expansion but also hydraulic force post expansion. My wife (hunts every week) was horrified to read this post based on her own past experience but these bullets do keep cropping up. For the sake of my wife, can we leave it at this please. |
