Michael RoachHey Guys,More of a question for Nathan but decided to put it out there. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith ideally in the north island of NZ. ( I live in Auckland) I have a Rem 700 in the mail, (its about a month away) I plan on accurizing it and I have all the required books etc. However I am a bit Anxy about bedding it myself. I might get over it. I actually have a 303 to practice on, however If there is someone who can do the job properly the first time, I could be prepared to pay for it..In saying that, what kinda $ would I be looking at? haha. |

Thomas KitchenRe: Gunsmith recommendations New Zealand.Hi Michael.I'm in Auckland if you want to do it yourself and want a hand, I'm in the dirty south though. Other option is I got a 458 win mag m700 to bed at some stage so when I go to do the actually bedding part your welcome to come and watch etc. I just got to fit everything around family and work commitments. Otherwise best bet is to send it down to chris Murphy https://murfsmetalworx.nz/about-us/ |

Mike DavisRe: Gunsmith recommendations New Zealand.Well there is a sometime scribbler , who seems to know a little bit about what makes a rifle tick, who lives in north island....seem to recall over Taranaki way who might be able to sort your rifle out....heck if I still lived in north island I wouldve sent my rifle to him to work on myself. at least if you do send it that way,or better still drop it off and pick it up,you will be sure there is no miscommunication and as that chap seems to talk straight and not tolerate B.S. |
