Wayne WoodardHi all, hope all is well.I am in Australia if relevant. Winchester brass I believe is not as good as it once was, so when did this lower quality begin? I can obtain some 308 brass that is in the blue and white packets pre 2017, wondering if it is worth getting? |

Luis VazquezRe: Win brass & neck up or downHi Wayne:I have heard on multiple occasions that the newer Winchester brass is not as good as it once was, that said I still have a couple of bags of it for my 7mm-08, 223 Rem and 7mm Rem Mag but these are from 2012 or 2014, they are the blue and white bag and it has worked pretty good. Sizing 308 brass down to 7mm-08 won't be an issue, just make sure you trim and prep as required, I haven't done it in a while though but did it quite a bit with my dad when the 7mm-08 started as a wildcat for Silhouette shooting. If you haven't bought Nathan's books or at least the Practical Guide to Reloading one I recommend you do, it will help tremendously. Hope this helps Luis |

Wayne WoodardRe: Win brass & neck up or downThanks Luis.Have the books, the first one is a bit worse for wear, took a bit more care with the others as they were published. Use the digital version alot as it is always available. |
