Brendon GreigHas anyone tryed the 95gr tipped match kings on pig's I have a customer who has a few making a mess of her paddocks I'm picking they are no bigger than 40 or 50 kilograms I have them shooting ok in my 243 they are a little slower than I would like doing around 2800 fps will only be using it at closer ranges up to 200 metersThanks in advance for any help |

Nathan FosterRe: Sierra tipped match kingsHi Brendon, it will work best on non-mature boar and sows.On large mature boar, aim for the neck / head junction. Note that I have seen mature boar survive centre neck shots with the .243 from as close as 25 yards. The areas the .243 will let you down are: Mud encrustation or a shield, weak or overly tough factory ammo (narrow wound), or pushing the range too far versus the available energy (again narrow wound). |

Brendon GreigRe: Sierra tipped match kingsThanks for the reply Nathan I managed to get a couple of small goats this weekend about 50 meters which they worked perfectly on as expected but there is a big difference between goats and pig's which is why I asked the question I have a customer who has some digging her paddocks up she wants rid of but didn't want to have a projectile that was completely unsuitableRegards Brendon |
