Jack DunrossI've just purchased a wheeler bedrock bedding kit and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it and any tips?I would have purchased Nathan's bedding kit, but I don't have access to it over here in Aus. Also I've bought a 100 gram bag of 316 stainless powder from ebay, which I plan on mixing with the bedding compound as the bedrock kit has no steel in it. Is this a good idea, or would I be better off just using the kit as is, without the stainless powder? The kit does 2 rifles and I plan on bedding my Remington 5R first and then my winchester model 70 30-06 after I have the hang of it, as it will be harder. If I do use the stainless powder, would 100 grams be enough for 2 rifles or just one? I'll try and post some pics of the kit and the powder. I'm not sure how though without a url? Cheers! Jack |

Nathan FosterRe: Wheeler Bedrock Bedding KitHi Jack, we are still trying to get our compuind into OZ, hoping that we might have a shipment landed for August but it depends on the importer as well as logistics with everything so chaotic at the moment. I don't really want to give advice on another brand. Just approach this with common sense, by eye and feel, mixing to a suitable viscosity |
