AR2209 powder in 7mm08

VinceHi allWondering if anyone has tried AR2209 with the 162 eldm in a 20 inch barrel? I have been using 2208 with reasonable success but would like to try this if it is fast enough Cheers Vince |

Nathan FosterRe: AR2209 powder in 7mm08Hi Vince, 2209 is adequate but has to be loaded to compression and needs a generous barrel length to reach full speeds. There is no real advantage in a short barreled rifle. If you have no other option then sure, use it. But if you are looking for something for the sake of experimentation, perhaps try a double base powder.All the best. |
