303 Surplus

Hey all,

One for the commonwealth members (possibly USA readers also).

I've come into some Mil surplus ammo for my 303.

It's stamped KF and POF, which shows that it's come from Kirkee Factory in India or Pakistan Ordnance Factory. The stamp is like this POF 7 89 or KF 88 7.

So Mark 7 ammo I assume based on the inclusion of the 7 on the case with the date and factory stamp.

Dating mostly from the mid-late 80s (most of it is 1989). It appears to be in good condition, no corrosion or other obvious flaws.

Here's the question: Does anyone have experience using this ammo? Are the cases any good for reloading? Or should I just pull the projectiles and discard the rest?

Hi Andrew, we fired off crate loads of this ammo back in the day. Worked fine but this was during the 90's. I did not reload it. You will have to do these checks yourself, check case capacity versus modern cases etc.
