Tony MarascoI have used this on elk ,moose and smaller game.This bolt action rifle has a 24" barrel-this I consider to long on any rifle for what I do.really like the idea of a single shot ( am experimenting witha ruger#1 7mm) at this time.What else is out there that fits this description? 24" barrel would be ok in this case I believe.Thanks( 22" does not seem adaquate for this round) |

GREGG FOSSERe: 25/06 ( on gameTony - I agree with your assessment, anything shorter than a 24" barrel for the 25-06 is putting a great cartridge at a disadvantage and increasing muzzle blast instead. 26" barrel (as on many No. 1's) is even better to take full advantage of the capabilities inherent in this round.[b] |

Tony MarascoRe: 25/06 ( on gamethanks greg. she's a needle gun..inherited it..talked my uncle into this in 1969-- one of the first factory rifles produced by Remington I believe. |
