deerndingoHi All,I just watched an episode of that NZ Maori hunting show. Nice show I enjoy it, but... They had their tip of the week and spoke of bedding the riffle and then proceeded to prepping a barrel. One way they showed for getting the tool marks from the barrel was to get some of that auto metal polish cream on a jag and power it up and down the barrel with an electric drill!!! Now, I can see that it would take out some light tool marks, but wouldn't that also take out the sharp edges of the rifling? Your thoughts please |

Nathan FosterRe: Barrel PrepHi Danny. The burrs of a throat are circumferential. Using a drill, the cutting compound will simply follow the burrs, polish them without removing them while also damaging the lands as you pointed out.We went digital here a while back. Everyone with a standard / traditional aerial would no longer have TV reception. We have not had TV at home since this happened (last September I think). Looks like we are not missing much. |

Martin TaylorRe: Barrel PrepI was horrified to see that shit being offered as a quick way to bed a barrel!Good way to sell more rifles/barrels though. I also enjoy watching Hunting Aotearoa here in OZ but they need to correct this before people think its a good Idea and atempt it. |

deerndingoRe: Barrel PrepI sent a polite email and said they need to address the wrong info. Surely someone sabotaged them. They can't be that silly. |
