sllindsayRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedThese four books make an amazing set. A job to be bloody well proud of - "a blind man would be pleased to see them." After the fifth book is completed, I'll petition for putting the Knowledge Base into a printed encyclopedia form (as you had originally envisioned), and then I want to see a series of books on shooting and hunting stories that explain where all this information came from!sl |

Nathan FosterRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedG'day SL, such a fine grasp of our antipodean language- well done SL, you rippa!I am flat out like a lizard drinkin trying to keep up with mail today but no worries, will work though it... That really would be a nice end goal, to have the KB in A4 sized print once it is completed, divided into two volumes. One day at a time huh. |

Wayne WoodardRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedHad to go the ebook as well so I could get a start on it. Extremely good reading. This series of books has definitely saved me a lot of umming and arhing and sorting through all the bs that is about. |

Robert KennedyRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedYep! Sure is a shame Richard Lee never went to Harvard Business College and learned marketing. He could have set his prices at the premium point for profitability and sales to the elite. And some folks could rest easy at night if only the prices for Lee reloading tools were double what they are, and reinforced what the marketing gurus taught them, that a high price always means high quality.Fortunately for most of us the struggle between the honest trader and marketeer (racketeer?) was won by Lee in this instance. To read the preface to his reloading book gives a good insight to a great man. In a similar example here in Oz, the wine snobs were shocked a few weeks ago when German supermarket chain Aldi won 6 prizes in blind tastings against top shelf wines at the Sydney International Wine Show with their wines selling in a range from $5 to $13! |

Jake longRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedJust made it through the first chapter. Must have read it at least three times. Good freaking stuff. I'm fairly new to the reloading game but now feel like I'm getting an express education. Thanks for saving me years and years of frustration. |

Nathan FosterRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedThank you guys, really grateful for the kind comments.Hi Jason, a U.S film director will be visiting very shortly to film a documentary on what we do. I do not know if this will air in NZ. I do not know whether it will even survive the edit and come to anything at all. My 7mm Practical died last week- must have got a bit of field grit in the bore during winds. I was hoping to have my pet with me during the hunt. No time to rebarrel and work up loads now. The next in line is the .338 Edge. It is way overkill if there is such a thing but the rifle is set up ready to go so that is what I will be using if I shoot (this is the rifle from the reloading book). The rifle is just a basic M700 build, nothing fancy about it in any way, just another test rifle. It is wearing the forward port brake from book one which works very well, keeping the noise forwards. I never really talked up the Practical, never wanted to be that type of gun writer e.g "I invented this, therefore it is the best". But in all honesty, not having it ready to roll has really made me think. It is a good cartridge, it is well designed- by chance and borrowed ideas. It works exceptionally well at extended ranges. It beats the wind and makes for a very ethical killer in this manner. I never fully appreciate just how useful this cartridge was until now. The weather is still spring like here, summer seems to be hanging back. The ground is wet, ideal for pigs. The tracks will be slippery but if we can get the camera gear up to some high vantage points, we should be able to locate a pig in one of the valleys. If the weather really closes in and the electrical equipment has to be packed away, well I guess we will be sitting around a camp fire eating goat curry and spitting out the hairs I missed with a lot of edit bleeps. OK, feel free to take the piss now. |

Martin TaylorRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedI know you have helped set up a few of these mate, maybe you could beg, borrow or steal a 7mm P for your Hollywood debut!Just got home from western NSW and they are in heavy drought, so l guess they are pinching your summer! |

Mike NeesonRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedQueensland is getting a good soaking... we sure needed it. How often it is that we only truly appreciate something when it is gone eh? Great read BTW Nathan, well done. Have a great Christmas and new year with your family. Also, quick update on the run-in. During the 2 hour range session, I got to squeeze in 3 shots - cleaning between each - the last shot definitely showing less fouling - each cold bore shot went into .35MOA - she has potential! It's a long process with the limited hours the range is open and me working shifts, but I'll get there. |

jasonRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedWell I would be keen to see the footage.I'm over the repeats of hunting aoteroa on Maori tv at the moment. Iv actually been waiting for the episode of when matua meats Nathan foster for a lesson in long range hunting. I doubt he would turn down goat curry. I found the book in the mailbox today, earlier than expected. Usual great style with plenty to think about and go back to re explore. |

jasonRe: The Practical Guide To Reloading launchedChris. It's a modern part of hunting these days. Iv even seen a guy give matua or howie a rifle with the drop all worked out. You think they would at least look down this path. A tutorial hunt with nath would be a great introduction to the crew and viewers a like. Even if it's just to make long range more excepted among the public. With an understanding that with the right gear and knowledge it's an ethical way to hunt.We have ventured of the forum topic. But let's hope the right person reads this. |
