Craig HenardHi Nathan I see in one of your books that you talk about having a GALVANIC reaction between the stainless action and the aluminum lug.I am going to put a light coat of grease on the bottom of the action but not quit sure how to address the lug issue. The lug stayed in the action when I took the stock off. Do I just rub a light coat on the part of the lug that contacts the slot in the stainless reciever? front, back ,sides and top of lug? OR do I need to also put some in the slot that accepts the recoil lug as well ?(Perhaps using a Q tip ?) Thanks Craig |

Thomas KitchenRe: Nathan about Greasing lug on Stainless Tikka ?Hi craigthe main point is to prevent stainless steel on alloy reaction so as long as there is grease between the two metal you'll be fine. from memory its easier to put grease on the slot in action with cotton bud / q tip but its what ever you find easiest |
