Michael KushnerikI didn't think about buying a bore guide since nathan mentioned they could get in the way when using poly pads, etc.But I had an idea to use the clear tube that my 1 piece cleaning rod came it. (This was after i threw it in the garbage, and had to go get it out ha ha) I cut the clear tube to the length I wanted, then cut the tube in half across the diameter (2 cuts needed). I used some clamps to keep it rolle d in place and then taped them together. It's a bit smaller than the chamber, so you could make it bigger by adjusting the cuts you make in the tube. It doesn't get in the way of any pads/patches/etc. Hopefully these pictures come out. It seems ok for 1 shot, then gets tighter. By the 4th shot I need to really hit the bolt to get it to slide back. And, lugs contact is uneven. So, when I send it for trigger recall they can fix that too, i guess? I was hoping to use it for spring bear season ending on June 15th, then send it in. Any reason I shouldn't do that bc these issues may cause damage? |
