I have a bedded rem700 in an HS stock, I'm not sure how to safely break the action from the bedding which looks fairly sturdy.
Any thoughts? [b]

Have a look around for Nathan's videos. At least one of them shows how he does it.

Hi Jit, just follow the instructions or videos on this site.

Tips:

Check to make sure there are no trap points / bedding overlaps at the tang or ejection port before breaking out.

The action can be sprayed with wd40 after removing your bungees and headless screws. After a few minutes, wipe off surplus wd40, wrap rifle in cling film then place in a deep freezer for 10 minutes. Once cooled, remove the cling film and shock the barrel, then walk the action out. This process is explained in my accurizing book.

I take it you are wanting to use our instructions with an other brand of bedding compound.

Thanks for the tips
No Im not using an alternative mixture. I have a poorly bedded action and want to checks it's quality inside the stock. I'm just un sure how to safely splot it with our wrecking it.

If if is rubbish I'll look at bedding if myself .

Re: Breaking rifle bedding
if someone else did the job it should already be broken loose. or have you just finished doing it? use a mallet and watch nathans video.
