Mike DavisRe: Barrel for 5.6x52RGunworks dont show it on their list of reamers......wonder if you could go down route of a faster twist .224 barrel and get same/similar end result that way assuming you can find someone with a reamer. you would get larger projectile choice ..... |

Nathan FosterRe: Barrel for 5.6x52RHi Ralph, my editor has this in a Tikka Model 77K drilling (12 gauge underneath). There won't be too many reamers around for this. You could have a reamer made easily enough and could also have it made, as Mike suggests, for a .224 bore. But you would have to avoid using any factory ammo in it. |

Mike DavisRe: Barrel for 5.6x52RI thought it was based on 30/30 case ????? and you could make cases from 30/30........always thought it would be great in a single break open rifle.....far better than a .223 just cause its different and rimmed. Bakail .222 or .223 re chambered/reamed out was what I had in mind as rifle to use. just a random thought, Granddad used the cartridge in a savage 99 I believe it was...handled one of those a year or 20 back and fair drooled. |
