who makes a 160gr bonded doft point in 7mm?

john feyereisnrocky mountain reloading supply has overun bullets on sale for $130 per 1k they can not disclose the manufacturer. the details they give are: they are us made, 160 gr, soft point not poly, boat tail, and not normally available as a reloading componant.sny guesses on what bullet it may be? |

Nathan FosterRe: who makes a 160gr bonded doft point in 7mm?If I had to put money on it, I would say that the bullets were made by Speer via electrolysis. I believe Speer is behind the Fusion bullet. This is right up their alley, most likely an experimental bullet that never hit the market. The boattail is a small tell. |

Thomas KitchenRe: who makes a 160gr bonded doft point in 7mm?seems like a bargain.when i first saw federal fusions ammo i thought it would perform similar to speer hotcors, i have seen that now you can buy the fusion projectiles for reloading. the same parent company owns speer and federal from what i have read so not sure if they are them same or different?? anyone compared the two? |

john feyereisnRe: who makes a 160gr bonded doft point in 7mm?[img]i received my super cheap mystery bullets today, visually it looks simalor so a speer grand slam with a slight and i mean slight boat tail on the back. i will try to get a pic to post incase anyone else is as curious as I am. |
