Kurt HeckmanRe: where are people locatedI think this is the proper forum for this. I do a little differant type shooting here than most of what I have read so far...but I believe you guys can help me. I only have 2 bolt rifles a 5mm Remington rimfire and a Savage 22-250AII do have however over 50 Harrington Richardson break action single shots. As they are my passion and what my goal with them is to take a basically inexpensive rifles and make tack drivers out of them. Locally I take my Whitetail deer every yr. But a few yrs ago I started shooting Prairie Dogs so I take a couple of trips each yr to do that. I have all the calibers to easily take dogs out to 500 yards with my longest confirmed to date being 587 with my 204 Ruger. My goal is to reach the 1000 yard club. Problem with that is you only get so many opertunities and for the most part the few shots I've had have been a shot and a prayer. I have tried recently to use a 25/06 but with the constant winds it seem to drift to much. Where you guys come in is here. I have a 7x57 and a 7x64 what should I be trying to use to reach these little buggers with? I do hand load. Thanks . Kurt |
