Matt ReidHi Nathan,Was thinking the other day, have you ever considered running a one day shooting school, maybe along the lines of your reloaders seminar, but in the field? Could be open to say 10 people per shoot, $100 pp, and people bring their own rifle and ammo. Maybe some targets setup at various ranges? Would obviously require a bit of planning but would be something I'd be interested in and thought maybe others as well. Matt |

Nathan FosterRe: LR shooting dayHi Matt, yes we have been discussing this as a potential feature.Currently, due to the terrain here, I am limited as to how many people I can take. Six is about the maximum / 3 vehicles (2 quads and the old Landy). I also have to pay fees on our lease block so this has to be built in. Day work would certainly make things a lot easier on me as I am still recovering from last year. |

Matt ReidRe: LR shooting dayYea fair enough, would obviously have to work for you financially. I imagine if it was popular, could prove to be a regular feature. Be keen to hear if anything develops... |

jason brownRe: LR shooting dayi believe theres still the added extra option of a six hour lesson when you pick up a rifle thats been worked. but i think thats at the 100 yard range only. still though, its something that interests me. |

Matt ReidRe: LR shooting dayMy thinking was along the lines of http://bangsteel.com/ . Dan Newberry´s philosophy seems to have some parallels to Nathans, looking at ´practical riflery´ and what really works rather than simply telling people they need a $10k custom rig to shoot long.Even if it could only accomadate 6 shooters per session, I imagine it wouldn´t be hard to fill those places. Just some thoughts anyway... |
