Nathan FosterIt seems that Nosler has realized the merit of compressed copper powder core bullets. But at this stage they have addressed their varmint line only, introducing the Nosler Ballistic Tip lead free.Given time, we may see this included in the main Ballistic Tip line of bullets. http://www.nosler.com/ballistic-tip-lead-free-bullet/ This goes back into what I said in the "Copper bullets can be inhumane" article. We need options like this and DRT in light of recent political trends. All the best. |

Lane SalvatoRe: Nosler Ballistic Tip- powder coreWell this is a game changer. Nosier's name gives credence to this technology and philosophy. This has the potential for really improving the lot in life for hunters in places like California. I've got mixed feelings about this personally because I'm a big fan of DRT. However, the technology and philosophy behind it is legitimate, and some large bullet company was bound to catch on. Can't wait to see if they keep going with larger and heavier calibers. An added benefit to this which I thought about the other day is that you can reload in tighter spaces with this ammo and never handle any lead. An ancillary benefit but a positive thing nonetheless. |
