Lane SalvatoHornady has a new 110 grain ELD-X with a BC of 0.465. Interesting bullet for those of us who are enamored with all things 257. This looks like a great round for a lot of different deer and antelope species. Has anyone tried it yet? I will be soon. |

Kenneth KephartRe: Higher BC 25 CaliberLiving in the US i'm surprised that i'm hearing about this bullet on a mostly overseas forum.Rest assured i will be attempting to obtain some for experimentation in my 257 Roberts. Most likely over a load of Hybrid 100V. |

Kenneth KephartRe: Higher BC 25 CaliberSo my local distributor finally got the 110gr ELDX in.Loaded some for load testing in my Ruger 77 MKII in 257 Roberts over Hybrid 100V, and RL17. I am loading to +P. Good grouping during ladder tests, seated 0.020" off the lands. I haven't run over the chrono yet. I also loaded some up in my Stevens 200, re-barreled in 250 Savage. Again 0.020" off the lands, with RL17. Also loading this to +P pressures( estimated 56,000 psi with QuickLoad). I'm interested to see what the chrono shows for both. Will keep you posted! Oh, and the 115gr. Berger VLD Hunting shows promise in the 250 Savage also. |
