Anthony BarronHey,I have a mate I want to buy a special Christmas gift for. He's been helping me and my family out a whole lot lately and I want to say thank you. This year he's been getting into hunting and reloading. He's taken me out with him to the rifle range a few times and I've noticed he's been using a chronograph he's borrowed from a mate. It's a MagnetoSpeed Sporter Chronograph. He's mentioned he'd love one of his own and I thought I could surprise him with one for Christmas. Here's the thing though. I still don't know a lot about using Chronographs but I've heard him say if he bought one he'd want it to be better than this one. He'd want it to be able to measure more variables so he can be more precise with his reloading. Can anyone recommend a Chronograph that's really good? I've got about $700 to spend. I'm thankful for your expertise. Cheers. Tony |

Todd FreeRe: Recommendations: Purchasing a ChronographI have a Chrony F1. Simple and works great. They sell add-ons like a printer and lights for indoor use.Don't judge them on their website!! Clunky and badly out of date, but their gear is good. http://shootingchrony.com/ |

Anthony BarronRe: Recommendations: Purchasing a ChronographHey, thanks. It's good to have some direction. And the price is very much in budget. |

Anthony BarronRe: Recommendations: Purchasing a ChronographAfter looking at some older forum posts and doing some research online I feel I am leaning towards the MagnetoSpeed V3. It is the upgrade from what he has been using. Everything online seems very positive about it, even in comparison to the LabRadar, which is a bit out of my price range.Has anyone had positive experience with the V3? Or would recommend against it? |
