They are recommending an 8.5 to 1 twist.As it happens, I have some of these lovely bullets and re barreling a .264 Win Mag to a .270 Weatherby with an 8 to 1 twist. I also have a Mannlicher Schoenauer .270 with a 9 to 1 twist. Ill load some just to see how well 9 to 1 works. Ill post my results. btw, the G1 BC is .620, the G7 is .312. Not sure of SD but should be just over .300. Nice looking, graceful bullet and its right in a sweet spot of weight and BC |
