Arve RingsbyeThe trigger is to heavy and there is to much creep on my Weatherby Ultra Lightweight ( 2013 mod. ).The rifle shoots pretty well and within 20 mm groups if I do my part. But the latter is pretty difficult with the trigger at about 2,5-3ibs on a light rig like this and with the creep adding even more problems.I can't find any coverage of Weatherby MK V triggers in Your latest book Nathan. Anyone know a fix for it? Or should I replace it with Midways "Timney Featherweight Rifle Trigger Weatherby Mark V American without Safety 1-1/2 to 3-1/2 lb Blue" If so, what about the safety mechanism? |

Robert KennedyRe: Weatherby ultra lightweight trigger fixThe trigger can be improved and at small cost by a competent gunsmith. Here in Australia Glen Coughlan provides a service through Ebay and he only requires the trigger to be sent to him. I have just had a Vanguard S2 HACT trigger done and it is set at 1 and a half pounds, no creep and single stage. Check out http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TRIGGER-JOB-WEATHERBY-MKV-VANGUARD-HOWA-FIBREGUARD-RIFLES-MANY-OTHERS-/290973964185?pt=AU_Hunting&hash=item43bf665799 for general information. |

Mike NeesonRe: Weatherby ultra lightweight trigger fixThanks for the heads up Rob, looks like he also does Rem 700 triggers too. He certainly looks like a viable alternative to a Timney - and for only 60 bucks. Plenty of good reviews too. Thanks again. |
