Buying/Bedding Scope Base

Will TaylorI have just bought a Winchester 70 243. It will be for deer hunting, and longer range varmint rifle. I am wondering what the benefits of mounting 1 piece base are, and if they should be bedded? And what is the benefit of a picatinny rail over a dovetail mount? Thanks for your replies in advance. |
