Randal GrahamBeen out of it for awhile, have to say I'm overwhelmed by the choices, and by all the varied opinion out there on optics. Used to be a leupold fan but to be honest, did not use scopes a whole lot. What I am in need of is a simple solid optic for load development, I would prefer fixed power and simple crosshair, for shooting 100 to 300 yards/meters specifically, on paper. Anyone have some suggestions for something reasonably priced and solid? |

Randal GrahamRe: Could use some guidance with glass...Thanks Chris, checked them out, they have a fixed ten power that looks pretty close to perfect, except for the dot-and-slash reticle.I would really prefer a plain crosshair. It's on the shortlist in any case, so thanks for the suggestion! |

Bryan WebsterRe: Could use some guidance with glass...have a look at the Bushnell Elite 10x fiixed power model 3200 or 4200Great pricing here in Canada at around $250 to $300. Used with a Picatinny zero cant rail and Warne or Talley rings either should do very well for you. I have used several fixed power Sightrons at 36x and for benchrest paper targets they are good optics for a decent cost...just a wee bit more power than you might need. |
