Get a set of Optilock rings I used them to mount my Sightron on my Sako 75 6.5x55 Sweed. they are a good fit and have the plastic inserts like the Signatures do.

Hi Thomas, Dan should have an EGW rail in stock at Reloaders. This will be canted so you will have plenty of come up. I think you will find that the rings you are getting do not have canted inserts (1" version). If they do have cant, you can still use this to add or subtract further cant. So- all good.

Don't nip the hex screws up too tight on the base- the front one in particular (for the purposes of rebarreling). I find the EGW base screws to have weaker heads- unless they have moved to a star shaped head. Just use loctite and nip up, epoxy under the rest of the base, no epoxy seeping into holes. Use a chapstick type loctite if at all possible.

Talk to Dan, he has the best options.

thanks warwick.

thank you Nathan hope the families all well and keeping warm.
i do have a f.a.t wrench if there's a torque you recommend otherwise ill just nip them up with lock tite stick (had already purchased one after ready accurizing book)

ill go see Dan when scope turns up hopefully he's got stuff in stock and i manage to get out the door without buying to much.

cheers again really appreciated

Re: sightron mounts for tikka
Well it does depend on the calibration of the wrench but try 18 inch-lb.

I know you work with hand tools Thomas, this being the case you can use the wrench but I also want you to go by feel.

Re: sightron mounts for tikka
thanks guys.
the weight sure won't hurt martin.
chasing that sub .5 or better accuracy managed .6 the other week with partitions (150gr 270 cal) but going at 2630fps so want bit more speed before i fine tune the load
