Nosler 168 ABLR in 7x57

Greetings. I just received a Mod 700 7x57 (1981 classic) with a 22" barrel. it has the longer "Remington" throat. I can set the 168 ABLR out to 3.30 touching the Lands, so it has room. My question is this bullet (which shot very well and very flat in a 280 @ 2750 fps) worth using in this 7x57? I have read that it has a 'soft" nose, and from Quick Loads it appears ( depending on the rifle of course) that 2700 is very doable with this round. My primary game is Mule Deer, but I want the capability of elk and big hogs. Is this bullet capable of being an "all around" bullet, or should I wait and see if the rifle prefers Nosler 150 BT/ partition first? I don't necessarily have to have a "one load" rifle as I love to experiment, but when it comes to game ( my limit is around 375yds, tops, with my "averages" being around 200yds here in Utah. Any experience/opinions are welcome Gents! Thank you

Sorry, I haven't figured out how to "edit" here yet! I meant 'when it comes to game", I like to 'thump them" and the 168/175 seem to do that in the 7x57.

I have the same rifle as yours in 7x57 but put it into a nice HS Precision stock.

For shots on Whitetailed and mule deer I would recommend the 140 grain partition, while for elk and moose sized game I would go heavier with either the 160 or 175 grain Nosler partitions and limit your range to what you have said above.

My rifle also loves the new Hornady ELD-M bullets in 162 grain, and for any shots beyond your stated limit that is what I will use now as a dual load (160 or 175 grain partitons up close and the ELD-M bullets out far).
