deerndingoHi All,This isn't a plug for the company, but I must admit that I have had really good respopnses from Red Deer stags when using the female call on an AJ Productions caller. I know some very experienced deer hunters who call themselves and they use the male challenge call. I have used teh challenge call and it does work, but using the female call on the same deer drew them in like they were on a leash. I called in one Red Deer from about 1 klm away. I had them call to me using the challenge call, but they came to me in a hurry when I used the female call. That's my experience for what its worth. |

Nathan FosterRe: Using a Game Caller with Female CallsWell how about that, you learn something new every day.I have spent years calling game, but it takes a lot of practice and its easy to make the wrong noise (eg. communicate alarm or immediate dominance etc) and actually scare game off. It is important to have a visual on the animals in order to learn how your vocal calls are being received. This caller would save a lot of trouble for many hunters (providing all of the calls are communicating the correct impressions). Sounds like your Red deer sound card is perfect. Very interesting, thanks for sharing. |
