Ricardo LaborinGentlemen,Spent the last 5 days meandering just south of Texas, in Nuevo Leon Mexico, looking for several of the species that inhabit the area. The ranch is privately owned and the amount of wildlife is massive! Low fence of course. Main quarry was whitetail deer but the fun had was much more than that. Some details: + Shot 4 coyotes, out of which two were 250yard shots, using a .270 Win and run-of-the-mill 130gr Core-Lokts. + Two medium hogs (sows), one at 150yds and the other inside 100yds, using a Weatherby Mark V in the prop 7mm, and 139gr Wby factory loads (Hornady Interlocks). + One nice sized OLD whitetail shot at 70yrds with the .270. These are all "short range" shots obviously, but wanted to share some of the stuff that goes on over here. I'm heading to Northwestern Mexico in a couple of weeks for the Coues deer, and those are LONG shots at TINY targets!!! Will keep the forum posted. Pics attached: Please feel free to ask me anything.... Saludos! |
