Curious if any of you Gents have a sure recipe for bringing in Black Bears in the Fall hunting seasons.

The Bears around here are wise to Dunkin Donuts and Twinkies. I have heard that Beaver castor is sure.

Oddly, sunflower seeds are a top choice, as is sugar.

What are you guys using to lure them in?

Well, this answer may be a little late for you, but hopefully is will help next season.

Used cooking oil from a restaurant. The stuff from the deep fryer. My friend says its the best. My bear completely ignored me fumbling around with my rifle in the tree stand like a idiot. Just be warned, sometimes they will snatch the bucket and run away with it.
