Nathan advised me last year after I had lost a deer due to lack of blood trail to try the .30 cal. 165 SST for a better result. Sunday proved the point. This buck was shot at 135 yd. with a .308, and dropped within sight after an 80 yd. dead run. He did, however, leave a trail an amateur could have followed, along with a 2x2 inch piece of lung near the spot where he was hit. Thanks for the tip. Technical research pays off. |
