Warwick MarflittThe next time you get a chance with the 22 to pop a Hare take knife and nick open the skin just behind the shoulder blades lift the skin and poke fingers under each side and pull in opposite directions! That's the quick way to skin a hare or rabbit if you don't want to keep the pelt. It takes about 10 seconds. Now remove the back steaks , they should come out easy. When you get to cook them. Slice the back steak into 1/2" thick pieces. Get your frying pan hot with some REAL butter or olive oil. Quickly fry the steaks till they are still pink inside. Butter some bread and place steaks onto it, salt n pepper to taste put another buttered piece of bread on top and eat while hot!!!!. You could put some tomato, lettuce mayo and any other hamburger stuff with it to make it into the world famous in NZ HARE BURGER ! Try it out you'll be back for more. |
