Joshua MayfieldAs usual, when I tried researching a question online I found tons and tons of nonsense which smelled suspiciously like paid promotion disguised as reviews. So I thought I'd try my favorite BS-free web destination. Or at least on this site BS is acknowledged up front, which is always appreciated.Question: I'm kicking around the idea of creating a website. I do not write code. I'm interested in something simple but visually attractive. No business transactions in the immediate plan over this site. I'd prefer to have a clear, unique, simple web address. Any recommendations or cautionary tales pertaining to host platforms from you who've been there and done that? Thanks in advance. |

Andrew MurrayRe: Web hostsHey Josh,I use Wordpress. Very easy to use and plenty of themes to choose from. You can also pay to upgrade for more features/storage. My website is https://viewfrombellbird.wordpress.com/ Our church uses wordpress too www.hopevalley.org.au Their basic plans are more geared toward blogging but can be set up for other things like on my site (It's a little out of date but still functional) I use it a lot for file hosting too which is convenient. Most photos I have uploaded here are hosted on my wordpress site. |

Andrew MurrayRe: Web hostsFor some reason the church address isn't working but if you cut and paste it, you'll see what I mean. |
