Andrew MurrayRe: There's only one thing longer than foreverI hear what you are saying man. But in reality they are as long each other. And then could they exist without the other? There's a thought. |

Warwick MarflittRe: There's only one thing longer than forever"Today" is tomorrows "yesterday"............Maybe? We should always never say, always, never, should. If you think about it we're all Continually traveling thru time. As the very nature of time is a constant movement. We have no choice but to endure its passage. Man has taken this concept and mongrelised it to control and profit from his fellow passengers. Geological time is the master of all. Think Earthquakes, volcanoes, Tsunami, floods all the things that we have no control over.... apart from the effects as a result of our terrible treatment of our life giving Mother earth? So we are always between one place or the other space. Temporarily suspended, balanced on the trajectory between Forever and never...........The kicker is that the quality of your kids Trajectory is proportional to the damage of your footprints thru the time space that you occupy ........ How much powder you burn!!! Interesting reading the words to Pink floyd songs "TIME" Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day. Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town. Waiting for someone or something to show you the way. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. When you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking; Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way that you're older. Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Every year is getting shorter; never seem to find the time. Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines. Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way. The time is gone, the song is over, Thought I'd something more to say. Home, Home again. I like to be here when I can. When I come home Cold and tired It's good to warm my bones beside the fire. Far away, across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spell. Songwriters: DAVID JON GILMOUR, NICHOLAS BERKELEY MASON, GEORGE ROGER WATERS, RICHARD WILLIAM WRIGHT "HEY YOU" Hey you out there in the cold Getting lonely getting old Can you feel me? Hey you standing in the aisles With itchy feet and fading smiles Can you feel me? Hey you don't help them to bury the light Don't give in without a fight. Hey you out there on your own Sitting naked by the phone Would you touch me? Hey you with you ear against the wall Waiting for someone to call out Would you touch me? Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone? Open your heart, I'm coming home. But it was only fantasy. The wall was too high, As you can see. No matter how he tried, He could not break free. And the worms ate into his brain. Hey you, out there on the road Always doing what you're told, Can you help me? Hey you, out there beyond the wall, Breaking bottles in the hall, Can you help me? Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all Together we stand, divided we fall. Songwriters: ROGER WATERS Hey You lyrics © Warner/Chappell Music, Inc. |

Andrew MurrayRe: There's only one thing longer than foreverRabbit hole alert. It is interesting you bring up time Warwick. Time is given as a constant. But never and forever, both related to time, are not bound by it as everything else. Forever and never travel both forwards and backwards. Time however only marches on. What is our reference point of time? Today, yesterday? The creation of the earth? The big bang? Forever and never however have always been and always will, outside of time. Here's another question. If indeed our universe is still expanding as current consensus agrees, then what is it expanding into? |

Warwick MarflittRe: There's only one thing longer than foreverMy Trajectory in time is the only thing that I have any influence over. So Ive been using it to gain and share my knowledge. To up skill myself first and my Daughter, family and friends..... Hoping to put us in a better position for low drag high BC trajectory.......Andrew are you talking about Believing in something or the practical and often boring Truth's in life that many run from and choose to ignore at their own and loved ones peril. If you want to live a good life you need to make good life choices? For example........ The Four Agreements 1. Be Impeccable with your Word: Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Dont Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wont be the victim of needless suffering. 3. Dont Make Assumptions Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life. 4. Always Do Your Best Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret. Where abouts, between "never" and "forever" do you want/need/have to be? The price of anything. Is the amount of life you exchange for it!!!! |

Andrew MurrayRe: There's only one thing longer than foreverWe are very much on different wavelengths. Breaking your 3rd agreement but I am correct in my assertion, allow me to elaborate alittle.I am talking much more philosophically than practically. But even in that, my own understanding of the things you have said can be summed up by the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do to you. Of course my Christianity (should) shows in everything I do and the beliefs I hold. But I do not think you need to be Christian to agree that never and forever are essentially the opposite sides of the same coin. I do like the way you think about using the one equal gift we have all been given, time. As far as never and forever I do not think you can sit in between them. Only on one side. Either never or forever. Given that anyone who reads this can indeed read it, they are firmly in the forever camp. If only that their lungs have inspired and expired the same air as you and me. I don't think I have done very well explaining my self but I did say it was a rabbit hole. |

Warwick MarflittRe: There's only one thing longer than foreverYes them darn wabbit wohles. You can sit in the middle of the road if you don't mind the eventual outcome. To borrow the SAS phrase of "Who dares Wins" puts you in the between of Those who'd say that it could "Never" be done and them who where afraid because it was going too take "Forever"? Or JFK's speech "Some men see things things as they are and Say WHY! I dream things that never where and say Why Not"!!!! Andrew I remember your very interesting and informative post about Growing Mushrooms..... I remember the old joke too... My work thinks I'm a Mushroom! They keep me in the dark and keep feeding me bullshit....... King Solomon's Ring had the phrase "And so this too shall pass" inscribed so to remind him that nothing lasts forever be it good fortune love or dis-pare....and that life has a way "like water" of finding its own level...... Thanks for sharing your thoughts Andrew. Yes we are of different thoughts and yet share the same planet. Best we work together eh? I keep hearing these rumors that instead of looking after this world well wreck it and then Some of us will move too Mars? Then I guess well "Never" live on earth again "Forever" |
