Lane SalvatoI think the 6.5 Creedmoor is a fad much like Skinny Mocha Almond Decaf Latte with Fat Free Almond milk, an ounce of White Chocolate and a touch of Madagascar Cinnamon.I'm over here with a cup of Folgers and my 270 wondering if anyone else realizes that you can nip the ears on a donkey but that don't make him a horse. |

Paul LevermanRe: I'm Weary of the 6.5 Creedmoor FadHave to agree with you, Lane. I once read somewhere, and I'll have to find it again to remind myself, why this flavour of the week showed up. And why it is all of a sudden everywhere. It just goes to show you how modern marketing can manipulate the consumer. Bit of polish, bit of paint....make it look what it ain't. |

Joshua MayfieldRe: I'm Weary of the 6.5 Creedmoor FadYes! I've got nothing against the cartridge. It is the fad that is way beyond obnoxious at this point. Before I abandoned Facebook I posted "Shooters, the 6.5 Creedmoor is fine. It isn't magic." A couple people took it personally.I know it varies regionally, but in this region fifteen years ago if you didn't have a 7mm Rem. Mag. you were a person to be pitied and mocked. Then from about 7 to 10 years ago (I personally blame the movie Shooter and some of the press that said the mountaintop scene rifles were .308s) if you didn't shoot a .308 you were a neanderthal. The .338 Lap Mag had a little run from about 2010 to 2013. I didn't buy one so I was a quaint but sad relic. Now for five years it's been the Creedmoor. I remain sadly out of touch, a dinosaur in the corner, doggedly reloading .30-06 cases because I apparently can't be reasoned with. Anybody want to place bets on what the next fad cartridge will be? And I don't think the 6mm Creedmoor should count. |

Warwick MarflittRe: I'm Weary of the 6.5 Creedmoor FadThe .14 "Knights Mare" run the numbers in your goggle leye pone "bollocks" Aap.With a 20 gn bull-lite @ 4999 fps its a "crumple bee" 😲 It'll fake out anything. I'm looking forward to using it on my first ever. Blue 🐳Whale hunt in sprung! I had to buy all new press, dies, powder etc with it as it's a package deal only and with the new ceramic cases I'll never have to resize or trim ever again! Just send them to be factory cleaned and tested. Finally the purrfec rifle. So I signed up for the exclusive contract as its all a licensed proprietary fleece contract. Like a rental car or pay per view Tv. I don't own it! I just pay to use it. It comes with a factory built in scope. No rings or rails or mounting issues with gps tracking & fsc (factory shot count) records ya shots on the map app "cool as hey" when you get to a cellular tower area it sends the data to the factory so they can monitor stuff for "hype control" can't see a problem with this one It's a Real steal!!!! |

Kenneth KephartRe: I'm Weary of the 6.5 Creedmoor FadYeah, 5 years or so ago it was the LM.Why the Creedmoor( known in several other forums as the manbun cartridge) has ever fallen in good favor with the bolt guns amazes me. It's whole intent was the AR platform. |

Paul LevermanRe: I'm Weary of the 6.5 Creedmoor Fad"Manbun cartridge". It probably made it's way to bolt actions for the simple reason that it gives the proponents another market to milk. As much as this seems to be a fad, and may or may not stick around, it still gives a guy a reason to get a new rifle, even though he decides re-chambers it in a month or two, he still has another rifle. |
