Ryan NafeRe: HathcockNo problem.Its very interesting and worth taking note of the fact that when he won the Wimbledon Cup, he was so focused on what he was doing while shooting that he didnt even realize he had won until people were all over him. That kind of concentration and mental discipline is probably a large part of what allowed him to be so effective behind a rifle. Very solid fundamentals, going through the checklist like a machine every time, and absolute concentration are what won him the day. And the same system proved effective in combat as well. |

Frank VallichRe: HathcockThe entire interview stands out including the narrowing of his eyes and immediately retracting the look when the female voice made enquiry. Having your back covered by a competent spotter allows focus. Being at the range allows focus. Finding a good hide when alone in the Bush allows focus. Suggesting to customers to piss off while repairing their hi priced shit allows focus. Just saying from experience, all though I was able to be diplomatic but the point was made and later camaraderie ensued. |
