With the advent of the Z-Max bullet from Hornady we've all had to face the fact that a zombie apocalypse is realistic. It's not a case of if but when it will happen. Otherwise we wouldn't have greenish yellow tipped bullets. That's just logic. Now there is no other evidence that zombies will ever be an issue, but all I needed were those greenish yellow tipped bullets and I knew it was a fact. I'm considering that debate to be over.

With that said I don't believe that guns are the best solution. We must consider the fact that possibly the only people left after a time will be younger folks. So guns play their part in controlling sicko's and bad people. But alas, the biggest threat will still be zombies.

With that in mind I believe that knives and knife variations are going to be more effective than guns because they are quiet and don't attract more zombies from greater distances. Sure, there are the lobotomizers from World War Z but those are just glorified shovels. There is no glory in that. I'm too arthritic to swing a sword so I'm betting on a bowie knife. Long enough blade to get the job done but not so large as to be unwieldy.

So if you think I'm wrong, give me your reasons. Would you prefer an axe or tomahawk instead of a knife?
