Norman VigusI have an RCBS pro 2000 5 stage re loader. New condition. had this thing for about 6 months now, and have not made 1 bullet. Not sure who came up with the silly idea of making this cast iron and streel reloader, only to put a flimsy plastic shell plate retention bracket on the base .Durr. After eventually putting this press together I noticed this retention bracket was snapped in 2 places, right where the screws, go, ( who would have thought of that). I attempted to super glue it together, which kind of half worked for a while. But every time, I attempted to test run it. it would cycle perfectly for about about 1,2 or sometimes 3 cycles; and then it's as thought the timing went off by half a hole. It could not maintain it's position. The only thing/reason I could thnk of was the little cam, which moves back and forth, to rotate the shell plate was sloppy. so attempted to give a little tighten, and yes, it snapped. So now ended up with 2 problems. shell plate retention bracket and the little 7/16 snapped bolt. I have had 3 attempts to try and get hold of RCBS about this, no one replies. As I am in Europe. can't really drop round to the factory, can I. Any advice on where to get these parts from or what the problem is. would be VERY helpful. Thanks! |
