Nathan FosterThis "off topic" forum has been set up on request, currently on a trial basis. If you can't keep your posts light and need to vent, then so be it. But do try to support each other in a caring and concerned manner. The TBR forums have attracted a wonderful group of kind and warm hearted hunters from around the world so I hope that this continues within this thread. Please note, I may not be able to spend much time on this forum as I am already stretched thin. Also, being that I am normally in the role of helper / guidance, it may be difficult for me to take this hat off if I enter discussions here. It may be an undesirable trait. OK, let the trial begin. |

jasonRe: Healthy and supportiveThanks Nathan.I thought there could be plenty of things we also have in common that don't come under the current forum headings. So are "off topic" Maybe you hunt with dogs, ride motorbikes. What are you growing in your garden... How's the new ute lawnmower or tractor. Your best trick to get your wife to let you go for a hunt. Just stuff.... |

Ben GradyRe: Healthy and supportiveYep, I know where your coming from. Or the sales person who when asked about a product, picks up the box and starts reading what's on the back. (because they have no fricken idea). |
@ 03:05 am (GMT) |
jasonRe: Healthy and supportiveYip or lack or simple infomation on the box. You ask the guy in the shop who won't open the box which would take just a couple of minutes. Instead phones supplier.Or the piss poor instructions so there's another couple of phone calls. ( New clothesline) |

Dan KeeneRe: Healthy and supportiveAbsolutely guys! I work in a gun shop and I cant believe that I dont have detailed knowledge of each and every of the 7000 lines that we sell. They should sack me and get someone who has this massive encyclopaedic knowledge that is demanded by customers.Cheers. |

The DictatorRe: Healthy and supportiveI am liking you Dan who is keen. You are speaking truth which is good. Now I ask you man to man- where can buy poison carrot bomb that your government use for weapon of mass destruction. I try to buy online but nothing. I have much hashish to trade with your greens lesbian politicians (honestly- how does you tell the mans from the womans in your politic parties?). |

Thomas KitchenRe: Healthy and supportiveto me its about customer service its not so much about knowing everything but its about helping to find the answer for your customer which is where i think some places excel reloaders being one i recommend to most huntersi did go into a gun shop one day (big franchise chain one) ready to buy a gun but they didnt have the right caliber salesmen said leave me details ill ring you tomorrow 3 days later nothing so i rung him oh yea ill ring you back this afternoon, never heard back, they will have to have something i need that no one else can get before ill ever go in there again. on the other hand people that build a nice house but put the cheapest nastiest plumbing fittings in need a slap, or people that get there dodgey builder mate dave to put a cheap chineese equal mains shower mixer from a hardware store in there low pressure system then wonder why the solar shower they use when camping has more pressure kinder get what they deserve ha ha. think that counts as venting?? ha ha |

For some reason they seem to just........BLOW UP!!!!!!!! Fright hilarious The Dictator & Martin, you must be a mechanic Martin. My twin brother Dave is a mechanic, my older brother a doctor. Brother doctor expects Dave the mechanic to know how to fix every little thing on every model of vehicle ever made... Dave for the life of him still can't understand why brother Doctor still can't fix half the problems with the only two models he ever has to deal with.... Cheers |

Cheers. Not what I mean, your survice is great Dan at Reloaders Supplies, as you can see I am from the south island and keep purchasing from you. I just get annoyed when having a serious purchase to make, generally a good spend. And an inexperienced sales person (maybe part time) who has no idea, goes through the meet and greet sales process and leads you along like they may know something about the product. "yes that's a good choice" type answers. Then when asked a question, starts reading the box. Drives me nuts. I just wish they would say " look I'm not sure but I will get someone who knows about this product". That's all, not too much to ask. |

Bob MavinRe: Healthy and supportiveHey guys, & the DicktakerI was in a gun shop the other day and the guy that does the repairs (smithing?) showed me a rifle that a customer bought back because the rounds wouldn't chamber and he couldn't work out why. I had a look, it was a 300 WSM but the bolt had a 308 bolt face. I said you've got another rifle here somewhere with a 300WSM bolt in it, he said shit!!! It's already been sold, it was a 308. |
